The $2,700 Summer Poker Open Championship is close to its 75-minute dinner break, with the field midway through Level 6 and 90 players still in contention from 125 entries on Day 1b.

Registration remains open until the start of Day 2, so today's field still has plenty of room to build before survivors bag at the end of ten 60-minute levels. One final starting flight is still to come tomorrow before the combined field returns for Day 2.

Several accomplished players remain in contention, including 2015 WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen, who has built one of the biggest stacks in the room with 145,000.

Four World Poker Tour champions are also still in the hunt. Kevin Nee leads the notable names with 150,000 chips, while Will Failla has 65,000, Dylan Smith sits with 45,000, and Mike Linster is on 44,000.

WSOP bracelet winners still in action include Stanton Tentnowski (45,000), and Nicholas Palma (22,000), while the likes of Mike Dentale, Maurice Hawkins and Aubrey Williams are all battling.
