Joe Cutler became the first player to hit the 1,000,000 chip mark in Day 1C of the Deep Stack Kick Off after he downed a player to burst the money bubble.
On the stone bubble with 53 players remaining, the cutoff raised before Cutler made it 50,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way to put the action back on the cutoff, who jammed for 314,000.
Cutler went deep into the tank, mulling over his options for over a minute. Cutler asked the table for one more minute, and after he made up his mind, he put in calling chips to set up the biggest pot of the day.

It was a coin flip, and one that Cutler would win as he made a full house on the J♠10♥5♠5♣J♣ runout to put field into the money. The remaining players have guaranteed themselves at least $1,200 and are now looking to be one of the 33 players who make it through to Sunday's Day 2.
