PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel, a U.S.-facing poker site, is making some drastic changes that will benefit players to its popular Nightly Stars tournaments.
The legal poker site that added the FanDuel brand earlier this year has launched many major multi-table tournaments and series that have attracted massive fields. That includes the Nightly Stars event, which began in April and has provided players with some great value. But the tournament is about to get even better.
Improving the Nightly Stars
The daily tournament at 6:40 p.m., according to the @PokerStarsUSA X account, has doubled the starting stack from 5,000 chips to 10,000 chips. That isn't the only major change to the event.
With the chip stack increase, late registration now closes at the 400/800 blind level. Guarantees on Tuesdays and Thursdays have risen to $25,000, with $22,500 being the prize pool guarantee for all other days. The changes will greatly benefit those who enjoy playing deeper-stacked poker, and more importantly, give players a bit longer time to register and rebuy. Thus far, the reception has been positive in response to the Nightly Stars changes.
The Nightly Stars tournament is far from the only way to get mega value from MTT's at PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel. Take, for example, the $200 Thrill at 7:30 p.m., which comes with an $18,000 guaranteed prize pool.
PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel is legal and licensed in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The merger with FanDuel has created larger fields and guarantees in tournaments, and more available tables in cash games.
PokerStars will also be hosting a major live poker event in the U.S. from Aug. 26 to Sept. 7 with the Maryland State Poker Championship. More than $1 million in prize money is guaranteed across 16 events, headlined by the $500,000 guaranteed Main Event from Sept. 3-7 at the Live! Poker Room in the Baltimore area.
