LaRocca Finds a Three to Double

Level 25 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Anthony LaRocca jammed for 1,835,000 from the cutoff and Vance Martin III called in the small blind.

Anthony LaRocca: A3 All in
Vance Martin III: AJ

LaRocca needed some help to stay alive, which he found on the A43 flop as he made two pair. He still needed to avoid a jack or counterfeit pair, but the board ran out 7K, leaving his two pair best to double.

Brown Pressures Ortiz

Level 25 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Erick Ortiz opened to 300,000 in the hijack and Shane Brown called in the cutoff.

On the A106 flop, Ortiz led for 350,000 before Brown raised to 800,000, and Ortiz called.

Ortiz checked the 4 turn and Brown quickly pushed out a bet of 2,000,000, which forced Ortiz to fold after some deliberation.

Final Table Redraw

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The blinds are now 60,000-120,000 with a big blind ante of 120,000 and there are 35 minutes remaining in the new level. Since the hands on both previous tables had taken very long, this will be the first hand at the new blind level.

Namit Patel Eliminated in 10th Place ($2,015)

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Namit Patel
Namit Patel

George Grabe raised to 265,000 on the button and Robert Bernstein three-bet to 600,000 in the small blind. Namit Patel then jammed his last 800,000 and Grabe called for the floor to ask if the action was capped or if Bernstein was allowed to raise.

Since the shove was not a full bet over the top, the only option was to fold or call. Grabe did that and Bernstein came along.

"I was hoping you would fold," Grabe joked.

Bernstein checked the J62 flop and then folded when Grabe jammed.

Namit Patel: AK All in
George Grabe: 22

The 3 turn and 2 river ended the run of Patel on the final table bubble, while a very excited Grabe celebrated and demanded "put that on PokerNews!"

He then went on to redeem his bounty pull and received ... $680.

"I am so bad at this," he said. The largest bounty is still in play and the field has reached the final table!

Ortiz Flips to a Massive Double

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

David Lu opened to 200,000 under the gun and was called by Vance Martin III in the cutoff and Anthony LaRocca in the small blind. In the big blind, Erick Ortiz jammed for 2,085,000. Lu folded before Martin tank-folded.

"Couldn't you [Martin] have just called?" LaRocca joked as he shrugged and tossed in the call as the covering stack.

Erick Ortiz: AK All in
Anthony LaRocca: 33

It was a coinflip scenario as the K108 flop vaulted Ortiz into the lead. Nothing changed on the 76 runout, and he collected the full double.

Port Continues to Thrive Alongside Martin III

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Namit Patel raised to 250,000 from the cutoff and John Port called in the small blind.

Port check-called the Q83 flop for 200,000 and did so again for 450,000 on the A turn.

Both players checked the 3 river and Port won the pot with KQ for the flush.

In the meanwhile on the other table, Vance Martin III has chipped up on the other table on the final table bubble.

He called a three-bet by Erick Ortiz who bet the 952 flop for 250,000. Martin III added 500,000 more on top of that and Ortiz folded.

Anthony LaRocca then limped the cutoff and Ortiz raised to 350,000 on the button. Martin III jammed and forced out both opponents.

Port Finds Miracle Two-Outer to Survive

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Shane Brown opened to 400,000 under the gun before John Port jammed for 2,170,000 next-to-act, and Brown snap-called.

John Port: 88 All in
Shane Brown: AK

It was a coinflip scenario as the J103 flop added a gutshot to Brown's outs. However, it was the A turn that vaulted him into the lead, leaving Port with two outs once.

The 8 peeled off on the river as the table gasped at the runout, and Port survived on the final table bubble.

Wimpy Check Wins It For Bernstein

Level 24 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

John Port defended the big blind against Robert Bernstein and check-called a bet of 200,000 on the J104 flop. He did so again for 450,000 on the 3 turn and checked the 3 river.

"I check, a wimpy check. I got kings," Bernstein said.

Port tabled the [Ts)s] and Bernstein won the pot with the KK.

Simon Lau
Simon Lau

George Grabe won some chips off Shane Brown when he bet the K73 flop for 300,000 and Namit Patel then raised to 200,000. Grabe jammed the button as Simon Lau in the big blind was forced all-in. Patel folded and Grabe collected the pot and bounty.

"I have an ace," he said as he flashed the A2.

He then ran to redeem the bounty and pulled $1,655 for the efforts.

Despite being absent for more than three hours, Lau made it to 11th place and laddered up to $2,015.
