An action-packed Day 2 of the WSOP Circuit Tallinn €1,500 Main Event saw the 147 returning players be whittled down to just 24 contenders at breakneck speed. All those who sat down today at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel & Olympic Park Casino had already earned a minimum of €3,000 from the massive €1,253,002 prize pool, courtesy of the record-breaking 977 entries, but only the two dozen that remain still have a shot at capturing the €210,000 first-place prize.
German native Julian Selinger leads the field after a dominant display during the final few levels of the evening. To finish off his strong performance, he knocked out Spanish regular Guillermo Gordo in 25th place to mark the end of play. Selinger crossed the five-million mark by winning that hand, ending Day 2 with 5,170,000, worth over 100 big blinds when the tournament restarts.
Gordo's fellow countryman David Marfil did make it through to Day 3, with the 4,435,000 he collected during the eight and a half hours of play netting him second place on the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Dutchman Roy van der Reijnst continued his strong performance in the WSOPC Tallinn Main event, bagging 3,800,000 for a back-to-back podium finish. Kristjan-Jaan Kosk became the highest-placed Estonian, bluffing Luka Sorainen on his way to a 3,055,000 stack for fourth place. No harm, no foul, as Sorainen regained some chips near the end of the night, bagging 1,600,000.

Ignacio Garrido won the Main Event at the inaugural edition of the WSOPC Tallinn in 2023, and with 1,200,000 in his bag, he is still in contention for his second title in four years. Rasmus Lundström won a ring in Tallinn a year later in a Mystery Bounty event, and like Garrido, will be looking for his second ring as he ended Day 2 with 705,000.
Bracelet winner Sander Ostlyngen (1,100,000) also bagged, although he had to look on as his partner and Ladies Event champion Vilde Ekren (42nd - €4,840) was eliminated by Johan Karlsson in a three-way all-in as the best-placing woman, crushing any dreams of the duo getting heads up. Karlsson, on the other hand, did make it through with 1,300,000
Other players eliminated throughout the day include mixed game specialist Thor Morstol (137th - €3,000), online crusher Casimir Seire (125th - €3,000), UK's sole representative David Docherty (73rd - €3,310), Finnish Olympic Casino regular Mathias Siljander (68th - €3,520), and poker millionaire Aliaksandr Shylko (35th - €5,610).
The 24 remaining players will return on August 1 at noon local time for Day 3 of the WSOPC Tallinn Main Event. The blinds will restart with eight minutes left to play in Level 23: 25,000/50,000 with a 50,000 big blind ante, after which each subsequent level will be 60 minutes long, with a break after every two levels. Day 3 will play down to a final table of nine players, who will then bag and come back the next day for the final day of the tournament.
Those who are left have secured themselves the same payout as Gordo for making it this far, that being €6,620. A pay jump to €7,980 is only one elimination away, while five-figure payouts will start from 11th place.The final table of nine is guaranteed at least €15,657, while the eventual heads-up opponents will each walk away with six-figure sums.
