Robin Vanloot raised to 35,000 in the hijack. It folded to Patrick Pedersen in the small blind, who upped the ante to 115,000. Vanloot called to the 9♠4♠2♥ flop, where Pedersen continued for 80,000.
Vanloot called the bet, and he called again when Pedersen sized up to 175,000 on the 2♠ turn. Pedersen then slowed down on the 10♥ river, checking it over to Vanloot.
Vanloot decided to wager his entire stack of 800,000, and he received a quick fold from Pedersen to take the pot uncontested.

On a 6♣10♠5♣Q♣ turn, Linda Lahdenpaa checked from the small blind to Patrick Pedersen in middle position. Pedersen bet 140,000 into the pot of 350,000, and Lahdenpaa called.
The A♠ river then prompted Lahdenpaa to ship in her stack of 485,000. Pedersen did not take long before he called off for 445,000.
Lahdenpaa showed a pair of jacks with J♠J♥, but Pedersen had two pair with A♦Q♠ to scoop up the mountain of chips in the middle and leave Lahdenpaa with just under three big blinds.
