Just 23 players remain in the hunt, with the top seven set to earn a share of the prize pool. Among those still in contention are Nick Palma, Aubrey Williams, and BetMGM Poker ambassador Michael Lavin, all looking to make a run at the $19,510 top prize.

The next wave of tournaments is in full swing at the Borgata Summer Poker Open, with the $580 Monster Mirror Mystery Bounty and $1,100 Deepstack Semi-Turbo One Day both in action.
The opening flight of the Monster Mirror Mystery Bounty has now closed registration after drawing 143 entries. Play will continue until just 18 players remain, with each starting flight ending after the money bubble bursts.
Day 1b is already underway and has attracted 25 entries through the opening two levels. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 13, while the final two starting flights, Day 1c and Day 1d, take place on Thursday.
Over in the Deepstack Semi-Turbo One Day, registration has also closed. The event generated a $55,000 prize pool, comfortably beating its $35,000 guarantee, and is down to 27 players as they battle toward tonight's final table and eventual champion.
Maurice Hawkins' impressive summer won't include another Borgata cash after the 26-time WSOP Circuit ring winner was eliminated on the soft bubble of the $2,700 Summer Poker Open Championship.
Fresh off a breakout few months that included his record-extending 26th Circuit ring and career-best World Series of Poker results, Hawkins saw his tournament end with 73 players remaining, just two spots before the money.
Hawkins moved all in for 123,000 over an open and a call with A♠K♠, only for TJ Laessig to wake up with J♠J♦. Hawkins took the lead on the K♦8♦10♥ flop, but the 9♥ turn and 7♥ river completed a straight for Laessig to send Hawkins to the rail.
With Hawkins' elimination, the tournament is now hand-for-hand, with one more player needing to fall before the remaining 71 players lock up a payday.

Vittorio "Victor" Abbate's run in the $2,700 Summer Poker Open Championship has come to an end just shy of the money.
The local entrepreneur, who owns his own bakery, earned his seat into the Championship through a charity tournament, turning a freeroll opportunity into a Day 2 appearance.
Unfortunately for Abbate, his run ended before the 71 paid places.
Speaking with PokerNews after his elimination, Abbate said he got his chips in after flopping a queen-high flush, only to discover he was drawing dead against Jason Sellers, who had flopped a straight flush.
With the money bubble drawing ever closer in the $2,700 Summer Poker Open Championship, Esther "E-Tay" Taylor is the lone BetMGM Poker ambassador still in contention.
Taylor, who was announced as BetMGM Poker's newest ambassador just last month, is sitting on 163,000 chips as play continues in Level 14. She joined the operator's ambassador team alongside fellow pros Darren Elias, Michael Lavin, but both of her teammates were eliminated during the early stages of Day 2.
The five BetMGM Poker Qualfiers who made it through to Day 2 of the $2,700 Summer Poker Open Championship are all still in contention as Day 2 prepares to enter bubble play.
Each player secured their seat online for a fraction of the full buy-in. Four of the five qualified through $250 satellites, while James Tedrow booked his place for just $25, making him the lowest-cost qualifier. There are 99 players remaining, with the top 71 places paid.
Play is currently in Level 14 with blinds at 3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante.

McDonald recently dropped a small pot after calling a 23,000 river bet on a J♦9♦4♣3♠3♣ board. His opponent tabled J♥J♠ for a full house, prompting McDonald to send his cards into the muck.
Funaro also gave up some chips shortly after. He opened to 10,000 from the hijack and called a raise to 26,000 from the cutoff before check-folding to a 16,000 continuation bet on the K♥9♣2♥ flop.
Despite those minor setbacks, all five online qualifiers remain well in contention with just 28 eliminations needed before the payouts begin.
